Splatcat Records is a small digital studio specializing in assisting the independent musician with high quality demos, live to two track recording, and multi-track studio recording. It was started by the two founding members of plankton in 2000 when they discovered their answering machine to no longer be an acceptable means of recording their songs. They purchased an analog multi-tracker and the story unfolds from there.

Everyone who works at Splatcat Records is a musician. We understand how important your project is to you and that's why we work our hardest to make your project as great as it can be. We can help the solo artist's project come to fruition with the addition of other instruments - we're talking REAL instruments here, as well as MIDI. "That's great," you say, "but I don't play any other instruments." No problem! We have several fine musicians to help you! We offer 24-BIT 24-track digital recording, direct to CD to give you the best sound quality possible. We also feature 4-track ¼ analog for you die-hards.

Our graphic arts staff is waiting to get a listen, too. They will help you create a package which reflects your style of music, and their enthusiasm is impressive!

Splatcat Records is also home to a web page design team specializing in sites for musicians with sound clips, band photos, your own artwork, or something special we cook up for you! Our design for the band plankton won an award last year!
